Answering important questions clearly…

16:15 Matthew “But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?” (NIV)

Jesus continued to teach the disciples and to show them great miracles. He wanted to see if they truly understood what they were seeing and if they knew the real meaning of His mission. He asked them a direct question. Some answered what others were saying about Him. They repeated what others said… Jesus wanted to know what they believed. It is a question that He also asks of us. We each need to answer it from our hearts… from our own personal experiences. Please have a ready answer for anyone who asks. Speak from the heart. Speak with conviction. Speak with gratefulness. Speak with His love for the one who is asking!

Send on our verse to family, friends and neighbors around the corner or around the world by copying the link to this blog or copy the blog and paste it into an email to share with them. Ask if they have ever needed to give an ‘eye witness’ account of an accident or event. Ask how that made them feel and how they responded. Let them know that you can give an ‘I witness’ testimony to all that Jesus has done for you. You know it deep in your heart and you are glad to share it with others. Always Take Time For God’s Word at 16:15 (4:15 pm) and as you are asked to state what you believe, then remember this verse. You may want to add this as a silent (vibrate only) Alarm on your phone for 4:15 pm with the title ‘Who do you say I am?”. It is a good question to reflect on each day. It reinforces what you believe. It challenges you to know Him more deeply. It prepares you to share His love with others. Those are ALL good things to do on a regular basis. Jesus is THE answer for the world today!

Our focused prayers today are for all of those people in hospice facilities or in Alzheimer’s care units. We pray for the patients, families, and care providers there. It is SO hard to see loved ones slipping away from us a little at a time. We want to do more for them yet it is hard to know what that is. Give them your time… your love… and your grace. Just be there with them as they go through this. Ask that God grant them peace and His continued loving care. He will be with all of you through even the darkest days. Stay blessed. Pass it on to those who have cared for you all of your life… give back to them now while you can!
