Jesus finds great faith in many people even beyond the people of Israel. They know His power. They know His heart. They believe that He can and will grant healing. This woman from Canaan pleads for her daughter’s healing from being demon-possessed. She persists. Jesus sees her great faith and grants the healing. He often tests us to see if we also truly believe…wholeheartedly. What do you need to ask for today and believe it can be done for you by Jesus? Have faith!!

Ask what they would do if their family member’s life depended on their asking for help. Ask how persistent they would be to get the attention of Jesus for that healing. Share this story with them. Tell of this woman’s great faith. Ask if there is anything that you can pray for with them. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 15:27 (3:27 pm) and as you see crumbs at a meal, then think carefully about this verse. If you have pets, you know that you make sure they are fed. Sometimes even table scraps! Use that to help you think about this verse and the faith of this woman who KNEW that Jesus could release her daughter from demon-possession. She persisted until He saw her faith and granted her request. How persistent are you in prayer? Keep faithful in your prayers every day!
We continue to pray for all of the Christian schools and pre-schools across our country. While they may be out for the summer, they need our ongoing prayers for their ministry to the students, their families, and to their communities. What a great witness they can be. What a great place for them to train up young women and men as they grow and mature in education and in faith. We need that now more than ever in our country and in our world.
