Jesus saw people in need and had compassion on them. He healed their sicknesses. He healed physical needs. He also saw their spiritual needs. His disciples only saw the obvious… people were hungry. Jesus knew how to meet their needs. He wanted to see if the disciples would have faith that He could meet all of their needs. This is the ‘feeding of the 5000’. It was a miracle that they would remember… later. What miracle does God have in mind for you if you will have the faith to trust Him for it? See His hand at work in you.
Copy this blog or the link to it in order to give this verse to friends and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they recall the scriptures about the ‘feeding of the 5000’. Ask them to summarize what happened and what were the leftovers from the meal. It shows again that when there is a need that God provides for it and does so abundantly. We end our monthly prayer cycle with a focus on that one person that you know who needs to have Jesus in their life. It may be family, friends, co-workers, etc. They need hope. They need forgiveness. They need love. They need to know that Jesus died for them. Let them know that you pray for them. They need to know that you care. Keep praying for them and do things to demonstrate His love for them. Be that special blessing to that one person. Pass it on just one person at a time… you are the hands and feet of Christ.
