Do you help feed people in need?…

14:16 Matthew “Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” (NIV)

Jesus saw people in need and had compassion on them. He healed their sicknesses. He healed physical needs. He also saw their spiritual needs. His disciples only saw the obvious… people were hungry. Jesus knew how to meet their needs. He wanted to see if the disciples would have faith that He could meet all of their needs. This is the ‘feeding of the 5000’. It was a miracle that they would remember… later. What miracle does God have in mind for you if you will have the faith to trust Him for it? See His hand at work in you.

Copy this blog or the link to it in order to give this verse to friends and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they recall the scriptures about the ‘feeding of the 5000’. Ask them to summarize what happened and what were the leftovers from the meal. It shows again that when there is a need that God provides for it and does so abundantly. Keep doing His will even while the miracle is taking place. Then Take Time For God’s Word at 14:16 (2:16 pm) and as you think about feeding people, then remember the statement by Christ. Add this as an Action Item on your phone at 2:16pm. You may want to copy in later verses from this great miracle. It reminds us to believe that God will provide in all situations.

We end our monthly prayer cycle with a focus on that one person that you know who needs to have Jesus in their life. It may be family, friends, co-workers, etc. They need hope. They need forgiveness. They need love. They need to know that Jesus died for them. Let them know that you pray for them. They need to know that you care. Keep praying for them and do things to demonstrate His love for them. Be that special blessing to that one person. Pass it on just one person at a time… you are the hands and feet of Christ.
