Yes, there is One hope for the world!…

12:21 Matthew “In his name the nations will put their hope.” (NIV)

When you read the newspaper headlines or watch the nightly news on TV, it may seem that the world is hopeless and headed for self-destruction. At times, that is true. Yet, Christ came to make a difference in our world. It is a change which only the people in the world can make individually. It can make an eternal difference for them. It can also help to make our world a better place when people look to serve others, as Jesus did, rather than looking in serving only themselves. Keep sharing Jesus and His love as the only ‘hope’ for the nations.

Please copy this blog entry or the link to it to send along this verse to family, friends, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they have hope for our country and for our world. Ask what gives them that hope and if they think it will last and make a difference. Tell them about the hope that we have in Christ. He has overcome death and the grave so that we all have a new hope in Him. Help them to know that they can put their trust and their belief in Him. Then Take Time For God’s Word at 12:21 am or pm as you see a world map, then think about this verse and about Jesus as the hope of nations. You may already have a Reminder set at 12:21 from Romans, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (NIV) So, you can set this as an Task for that same time 12:21 pm. Both are great verses to know and to recall often. Both will help you to spread the Good News. It will help you to “bring it to mind, take it to heart”. His Word should cause us to act on it!

We also always pray for the youth music programs and ministries at our churches and fellowship groups. Music stirs our hearts and it can lift our spirits. Hearing great Christian hymns or more contemporary Christian songs brings healing to those in pain or in sorrow. Kids can do that through their cheerful voices and their enthusiasm. Songs we learned in Sunday School are still songs we remember to this day… 50…60…70… or even 80 years later. We know the words and the tunes. They still speak to our hearts. That is what youth music programs can do for our kids and grand-kids. Encourage them to participate. Ask to hear them sing those songs. Sing along if you can. Pass it on through singing great songs of praise and thanks to God!
