Hold yourself to a higher standard...

7:02 Matthew “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (NIV)

How do you compare? Honestly! Now try that again. It seems we all give ourselves a more favorable or lenient standard than we use when we are judging others. We expect that they should be better… smarter… more considerate… more respectful… and more. Yet, do we act in the ways that we expect others to act? Often, we don’t. That’s where God’s love shows us that we are ALL sinners in need of His love and grace. Whether we act perfectly or not, He still loves us. So, we should do the same for others. Try it… today!!

Copy this blog or copy this link to forward this verse to all of your family, friends, and co-workers for His kingdom. Ask if they feel that people live up to their standards. Ask if they feel that they live up to their own standards. Ask if they will tell you when (or if) they feel that you have been judgmental of others. We all need that kind of honest and caring feedback. Thank them for that. Ask them to pray that God will give you a more loving spirit in the future. Let them know that you will pray for them as well. Take Time For God’s Word at 7:02 am or pm and as you see any measurement tool, then recall this verse. You may want to just copy this verse into the Appointment that you set from yesterday (at 7:01). Put it in the ‘notes’ portion so that it is easy to see. Then focus on NOT judging others but rather reaching out to help them in their needs. You will be blessed!

We add to our prayer list all of the workers and leaders in our schools. They are needing to rethink school safety. It is sad that it seems we are locking up our kids each day in our schools while the people who may do them harm can roam freely. Yet, that is sin in our world always lurking about us. Support these school workers/ leaders. Encourage them in finding solutions. Stay blessed. Pass it on through getting involved in positive ways by showing God’s love and mercy to all people.
