Make today great!

6:34 Matthew “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NIV)

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (ESV) That is the first thing I think of each morning (yes, even before coffee). It gets me focused on today and what blessings God has planned for me AND what blessings I can be to others. If I started to worry about tomorrow, it would consume too much of my today. I would not have the joy which I know I get one-day-at-a-time. Stay in the moment. Savor each one. Make fun memories. Make a difference in someone’s life that will carry into eternity!

To give this verse as a reminder to your closest friends and family just copy this blog and send it or copy the link to this page and pass it along. Ask what they are worried about for tomorrow. Ask if they think that worrying will help that situation. Share with them the joys which you expect today. Help them to stay in the moment and to make each one count for His Kingdom. Always Take Time For God’s Word at 6:34 am or pm and as you think about today, then recall this verse. Make this an Action Item on your phone. Set it for 6:34 am so that you remember to only focus on this day and not on the days to come. Make prayerful decisions. Take decisive actions. Seek the good of others. Bring glory to God in all that you do!

Our monthly prayer focus for today is for all those still suffering from damages caused by hurricane, floods, wildfires, rains, and now ongoing blizzards (yes, even in April). When extreme weather events happen, the event may pass quickly but the devastation and distress last for months or years. Support one another. Continue to give aid and help where it is needed. You may be the very blessing that others are praying for. Pass it on through continued acts of love and kindness to those in need!
