Find lasting treasures to keep forever…

6:20 Matthew “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (NIV)

As we grow older (or maybe it is more mature), it seems that the ‘stuff’ we have accumulated has less value as we go through levels of downsizing as we age. What was once so critical in our minds is really not that important now. Yet, those treasured moments with family, friends, baptisms, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc. … those become the treasures of our lives. It is those blessings-upon-blessings that we lay before Jesus with heartfelt thanks and praise for allowing us to have those treasures to be part of our lives. Cherish them. Tell the people you love that you really love them. Share with them the love of Christ which lasts forever!

Remember to give this verse blog or link to this site to all of your family, friends, and co-workers for the kingdom. Ask what they treasure most in life. Ask why they value it and how they plan to keep it safely stored away. Keep laying up treasures and keep sharing His love with others so that they too can know the amazing grace and love of Christ. Take Time For God’s Word at 6:20 am or pm and as you consider what is truly worth saving in heaven, then think about this verse. Keep the printed copy of this verse as a visual reminder to be selective about what you invest your time in each day. Live life on purpose. Live for His purpose for you. Make each moment count for eternity. Be rich in His love and share it freely with others!!

Please continue to pray for all of the hospitals and clinics and for all of those patients and professionals who serve there. It is great to know that there is a place where we can find temporary help and healing when we are ill or recovering from an accident. We are glad that God directs people to serve in such roles and that He uses others to be a blessing to us in our times of need. Thank those who provide such services. Visit those in need. Volunteer there if you can. You will be blessed AND you will be a blessing! Pass it on in special words, in acts of love, and through moments of caring…those will last eternally!
