Temptations seem to be all around us. It is the temptations which then lead us into sin… IF we give in to them. That is why we seek to avoid those people, places, or things which are the temptations and which we know will cause us to sin. It is a battle. Many of us face it every day. We are to rely on the Word of God to help us…to guide us… to see us through so that we resist the evil one and that we trust in Jesus as our savior more so that the temptations of this world. Be strong in Him!!
Please pass on this blog post or the link to this site to send this important verse on to your friends from social media or your email list. Ask if they ever feel tempted to do wrong things. Ask if they feel that there are options or if they go with the flow. Hear what they are saying in response. Tell them that there is a solution to the dilemma of sin. Let them know that Jesus died to take away those sins and to give them the power to resist temptations in the future. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 6:13 am or pm and as you see a temptation (which may happen a lot), then think of this verse and pray for strength to resist it. While some people view the number 13 or Friday the 13th to be unlucky, use the 13th to link this verse to temptations and seek to avoid them. Temptations are not just unlucky, they can lead us into sins which are deadly. Run from temptations and into the arms of our loving Savior, Jesus. He was tempted by Satan but resisted by quoting the Word of God and Satan gave up and left Him. Know God’s Word deep in your heart!
We continue to pray for all of those in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. We pray for the residents, the workers, and the families of those who are in those care centers. Pray for their daily needs. Pray for their special needs of love and fellowship and for the hope that they have that God will see them through each day. Give them purpose. Give them love. Help them as they have helped you up to this point in their lives. See them through it with the help of God. Be that blessing often as you visit them. Pass it on by being God’s love and strength to them.
