Are your being persecuted?…

5:10 Matthew “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (NIV)

There are various levels of persecution. It ranges from being treated poorly, to hostile acts, and all the way to being martyred. These actions generally take place over a long period of time. As a result, some may lose their faith. They may give up or they may give in. Don’t let that happen to you. In the face of persecution, we must stand strong and stand up for the Word of God. It will not fail us. His Word will prevail. Remember that the final war is won but we must still battle on in righteousness for Him!

We are asking that you continue passing on of these verses to all of your many friends on social media and to your email list. Ask if they have ever felt persecuted before. Ask what they felt the cause to be and ask how they handled it. Let them tell their story. It is a great way to get to know them better. Then share with them the persecution that Christ went through all the way to the cross. This is a great week to share the Easter story. Invite them to worship with you this weekend. Please Take Time For God’s Word at 5:10 am or pm and as you see examples of persecution in the world, then remember this verse. Place this verse in the Reminder of “Blessed” verses on your phone. This is the eighth verse in the series. Know that there will be trials in our lives. Know also that God is right there with us through them all. Keep His Word alive in your hearts and minds throughout each day. Bring it to mind, take it to heart!

In our monthly prayer cycle, we are reminded to pray for of our leaders at all levels of our government. Pray for wisdom in their decision making. Pray for compassion for those in need. Pray for fairness in dealing with others. We have A LOT to pray for. Keep them always in your prayers. Give thanks for all of the freedoms which we have. Give thanks for all of the opportunities which we have. Be a blessing as you are blessed. Pass it on through acts of service and examples of love.
