Show strength under control…

5:05 Matthew “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” (NIV)

When you hear ‘meek’, what do you think of? Timid? Weak? Even cowardly? Not true. It is to have and then to maintain great strength that is under control. Jesus has great power. He used it wisely and for the good of others. He had the armies of heaven at His command yet He allowed Himself to be sacrificed for us. Follow His example. Be a servant to others that they may see the love of Christ working in you.

Please take the time to share the link or copy the blog and to pass on another verse to all your friends on social media. Ask if they know someone who they feel is meek. Ask what causes them to think that way about that person. Let them how the Bible uses the word ‘meek’ and what great strength in has for those who know Jesus. Let them see your love in action. Then Take Time For God’s Word at 5:05 am or pm and as you feel a sense of 'strength under control’, then remember this verse. Keep this verse on your phone. Set an unusual Reminder ringtone. Just by hearing that tone you will begin to recall the ‘Blessed’ verses in Matthew Chapter 5. See yourself being blessed and being a blessing to others. Make that a conscious action each day… in big ways or small ways, be a blessing today!

We continue to pray for all of the refugee services and placement organizations around the world like Exodus World Services (Itasca, IL). Imagine that your only possessions in the world are what you are wearing or what you can carry. Imagine living in tents for months or even years waiting to go to a new, foreign land. What great faith! What great hope! What great purpose! Be one who supports such fellow believers. Mentor them. Be a friend to them. Be a blessing. Pass it on by being an active part in the lives of those who are rebuilding their lives.
