The power of the Holy Spirit

3:11 Matthew “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.“ (NIV)

Here we see John the Baptizer proclaiming the difference in what he does versus what Christ will do. John is faithful in fulfilling his role at making the way for people to see Jesus. He acknowledges that what Jesus brings is much more than just a cleansing from sin. Jesus brings us great power through His Holy Spirit. Have you claimed that power in your life? Are you using that power in your daily living and daily loving of those around you? Don’t miss out. Claim it today… use it forever!!

Share the Good News as you pass along this verse to all of your friends, family, and co-workers for the kingdom of God. Ask how baptism has impacted or influenced their lives. Ask if they feel the power of the Holy Spirit upon them and their daily lives. Asking great questions can start a conversation which can have an eternal impact on others. Pray that the Holy Spirit will dwell in you and that your mission and ministry will be blessed as a result of His work in you. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 3:11 am or pm and as you see a baptism, then you think of to power of this verse. Print out this verse card and put it by the clock in your room. You will see it whenever you check the time. It will remind you that you have the power of the Holy Spirit within you. Use it to His glory each day. You will be amazed at the life it brings to you!

Our prayers now continue for all of the Christian colleges and universities around the USA and around the world. We need to defend our religious freedoms. We need to teach the truths of the Bible to the next generations. We need to preserve the liberties which we have enjoyed during our lifetimes. We need to pray for it and we need to speak out for it. Support those institutions which are proclaiming the Good News. Encourage their staff and students. Pass it on through your active support and ongoing prayers.
