Repent and be forgiven

3:02 Matthew “and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.“ (NIV)

Matthew shares the events of John the Baptizer who was the forerunner of Christ. John preached a message of repentance. He wanted the people to understand that they needed a savior. They needed to be forgiven. They needed to be brought into a right relationship with God. That message is still relevant to us today. We ALL need to repent. It means to turn around. It means to go the other way. It means that we stop heading towards sin and death. It means that we are put back onto the road to life… the road to heaven. Start today. Repent. Believe in Jesus. You will be saved!! Praise the Lord!!

Our prayers extend to all of the patients and caregivers in our hospitals and clinics across the country. We ask that God will give hope and health and healing to all of those in need. There are great needs. There are skilled and caring people to help meet those needs. And best of all, we have a loving God who is there with us through all of our trials and heart-aches. May we be tender-hearted enough to reach out to those in need of healing. May we give the support and gentle spirit which they need during these times of great uncertainty and fears. Help them. Touch their needs. Be His hands and feet to go and to be with them. Be the blessing that they are praying for. Pass it on in all that you do for others.
