Be wise in how you act

4:05 Colossians “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.” (NIV)

Paul warns that we are to be careful in what we say to people who are non-believers. Our ‘church talk’ or ‘Bible stories’ can be a bit intimidating if they really have no clue what we are talking about. Adapt to share small things first. Get to know them. It will help you in best communicating the love of Christ to them. Then, with each interaction and opportunity, you can share more and more so that they can see the great joy in accepting Christ into their lives. Opportunities are waiting!

Let them know any approaches or ways that you are using to share the Gospel message. We can all learn from each other. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 4:05 am or pm and as you interact with others, then recall of this verse. You could use the words “Be wise” or “make the most of every opportunity” as you may save this as a Reminder on your phone. Either will help you think of this verse. Have a few verses ready to share with others when the ‘opportunity’ comes up. It will be a blessing to them and to you to share those verses.

Today we offer our prayers and encouragement to all of the Christian preschools and schools around the country. There is great value in getting a Christian education in our culture which tries to mute the voice of the Gospel whenever it can. We need to lift high those who are continuing to teach and share the Good News within their lesson plans in their daily activities. Support them. Give them thanks. Bless them to be a blessing to our youth as they grow and mature. Pass it on in every opportunity that you have!
