Prayer is one of the great gifts that God gives to us. It is an ‘open line’ of communication. It is meant for us to know there is help… comfort… answers… strength… and so much more that we receive in prayer. It is also our time to offer praise and thanks to God for ALL of the countless blessings which we receive. Our world needs LOTS of prayer so there is a LOT that we can do. Make sure that you are setting aside time for prayer and that you reach out anytime there is a need. He is waiting for you!!
Please forward this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask if they pray each day. Ask what they pray for the most. Listen to their response. Offer to pray for them in your daily prayers. Ask them to remember you in their prayers. Let them know that you are there to help them in times of need. We are the hands and feet of Christ. Be that to these friends. Then Take Time For God’s Word at 4:02 am or pm and as you offer prayers of thanks, then remember this verse. Set an appointment in your calendar for 4:02pm each day. Just give it the title of ‘pray and give thanks’. If you haven’t made time for prayer in your day, this will be a great reminder. I have never heard anyone say ‘I prayed too much’. It is always that they prayed too little. Call upon God… He is listening… He is waiting… He will bless you for it.
Our prayers today are for all of the youth pastors and youth leaders in our churches and fellowship groups. They have a passion for our youth. They know the temptations facing our youth. They know the pressures that they face in school, with their friends, on the Internet, and on the TV shows they see. We need to offer our support to them. We need to volunteer to help where we can. They are helping to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders. What a blessing that will be to all of us. Pass it on through your prayers for others and your witness to the world.
