‘Well Done’ is the best….

With summer days starting to close in on the start of school again, we all seem to want to get in those last activities just one more time… swimming, camping, playing games and cooking on the grill. I am sure a few cringed at the phrase ‘well done’ thinking that was the way to cook a steak or meats. The ‘well done’ that I think of is from Matt 25:21 which says, "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' (NIV). The context is servants putting to wise use the money or talents which the master gave them. They must give an account to him. Those which were good stewards and careful managers did very well and were praised by their master. So, if you were called to account for your life so far, how would you do??? We would hope that in our life and through our life that we may hear those great words, “Well Done, good and faithful servant.” So, whether it is cooking or camping or any other task, when you hear the words “Well Done!” pause to Take Time For God’s Word and remember Matthew 25:21 and the blessings which come to those who are faithful to the purpose which God has planned for you.
