They saw no one except Jesus…

9:08 Mark “Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus." (NIV)

The transfiguration of Jesus comes to an end. Moses and Elijah are gone. The disciples look up. There is Jesus… only Jesus with them. That is how it often is in life. Others are gone… away… died… fearful… not loyal… etc. When all others fail you… then you will still see Jesus standing beside you. He uplifts you. He gives you strength. He defends you. He is your shield. He is the ONLY one that you can count on both now and throughout eternity. Stand close to Him!

Please pass on this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask if they have ever felt abandoned physically or emotionally. Ask how that made them feel and what they did to regain their security. Tell them about how Jesus will never abandon them. He paid the price for our sins so that we can be with Him forever. Share with them how that makes you feel. Live out the Good News so they see His love in you. Please Take Time For God’s Word© during the day or night as you see children or people who seem abandoned or at 9:08 am or pm as you think of the message in this verse. Set an Alarm on your phone for 9:08 am with the with the title, “they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.” When you see that title, look around you. Each day will likely be different… at work… at home… at church… out shopping… etc. Yet, you will see various people but none will be as faithful or loyal or loving as Jesus is in your life. Take a moment to thank Him. Thank Him for ALL that he has blessed you with and ALL that He has done for you. When we live our life with an ‘attitude-of-gratitude’ it makes us more loving towards others. Try it this week... and continue it… forever.

We earnestly pray for all our pastors, ministers, and lay leaders within our churches and fellowship groups. At our church, we are in the process of calling a new senior pastor as our current pastor is retiring after more than 30 years at our church. We have been greatly blessed through all those years! We trust God to provide the person who will continue to lead us in His Word. Be a blessing to those who lead your congregation. Support them. Keep them always in prayer. Help out their families. The devil tries to attack through any way possible. Surround them with love. Stay blessed in ALL that you do. Pass it on to all of those who do NOT have Jesus standing there as their Savior.
