Pharisees were always trying to find ways to speak against Jesus and the disciples. They followed all their man-made laws but missed the point of God’s laws in the process. How many of us go through religious rituals without getting to the heart of worship… giving God all praise and glory and thanks. Be sure to keep your worship focused on Him and His grace and mercy. Avoid extra rules or traditions which do not serve God or the needs of others.

Ask if they feel that their church has added some traditions which don’t have a strong Biblical basis. As if they feel that those actions distract from the preaching and teaching about the Gospel message. Let them know that practices which help facilitate the worship are good. Any practices that seem to take on a higher priority or importance than the Bible and its teachings should be evaluated to see if it is helpful to sharing the Good News. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© during the day as you participate in worship services or at 7:07 am or pm as you recall this verse and the Isaiah reference. Set this verse as a Reminder your phone for Mondays at 7:07 pm with the title, “They worship me in vain;… 7:07 Mark”. The goal is to really think about your times of worship. It is to help you be focused. It is to help you be authentic before God. It is to help you experience the true benefits of worshipping God. Our mission is to enable you to stay closer to God’s Word and to let that Word work in and through you to help others. When you do that, you will be blessed AND you will be a great blessing to others. Enjoy your times of worship!
We focus our prayers on our family and friends… near or far. Some had family together at Thanksgiving. Others plan to get together at Christmas. That is not always possible for all families. Lifting up our family and friends in prayer is a powerful way to show your love for them and your dependence on God. Let them know that you pray for them. There is power in prayer. Don’t miss out on that benefit to them and to you. Stay blessed in all that you do for Him! Pass it on through genuine worship by giving God all the praise and glory.
