Isaiah reminds us of the importance of light in times past. If you wanted light, you carried a torch… you built a fire… you carried a candle. It was a very dark world. People were attracted to light. They still are. Ours is a very dark world as well. Sin keeps people in the dark. Sin avoids the light. Light shines on people to reveal their sins. Jesus came to be light to us. He came to take away those sins so that we can live in His light. Now you can be the light to the nations… showing them the love of Christ!
You can equip your close friends and family with the light they need NOW by sharing this blog or the link to this page. Ask how many lights they turn on each morning as they get up and get dressed. Ask how they would do if all of the lights failed to work. Help them to see that Jesus is the Light of the world. Show them the light by sharing the love of Christ with them in word and in deed. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© and recall this and other favorite verses each time you reach to turn on a light switch…think of the light of the world, Jesus. Pass on His Word to others. We see great growth in Christianity in many parts of the world. People share His Word. They are attracted to the simple yet profound message of Christ’s love for us. Keep the message alive and vital in your life. It will have an impact that lasts into eternity.
We faithfully pray for all adoption services organizations each month. We think of Evangelical Child and Family Agency (ECFA, Wheaton, IL). We pray for those waiting to adopt. We know the struggles and anxious moments which they have faced to reach this point of wanting to adopt… wanting to have a family… wanting children to be part of their lives. Encourage them. Support them. Extend your love to them as they wait. Rejoice with them when a child is brought into their lives and into their family. We too are all adopted sons and daughters of the King of Kings. We have gained an eternal inheritance which cannot be taken from us. Stay blessed. Pass it on by being light to the world each day.
