So much of the book of Isaiah is a lament about the people of Israel and their rebellion against God. Then, at times, Isaiah shares bright words of hope and encouragement. That is what we ALL need. We need to feel the love of God filling us. We need to see His presence in our lives. We need to know that He is with us ALWAYS! AND, He is!! So now we can shine that light into our darkened world. Be a beacon of light and a bright voice of encouragement to others!
You copy this blog or this link to route our verse to your family, friends, and neighbors. Ask how they feel each morning when they wake up (and before coffee). Ask what gives them great energy and excitement to begin each new day. Tell them about the love of Jesus and how He is the light of the world. Let them know that you are praying for them. Be known as a great encourager among your family and friends. Be the Good News for them. Next, Take Time For God’s Word© whenever you see the sunrise or enter into an area of bright light, recall this verse. Be the person who shines the light on people’s good deeds and generous actions. Praise those who are out helping to meet the needs of others. Give God the praise and glory for the blessings you have and those which you freely share with people around you. Shine on!!
We extend our prayers to ALL of the many cooks, custodians, bus drivers, crossing guards, library workers, volunteers, etc. who faithfully work in supporting roles within our schools each day. While they may not be in front of the classroom, they can still witness through their actions and their examples to the young children. We all have the ability to be ‘light’ to those around us. Thank them for their service. Continue to be the blessing that you are to your family and to your community. Pass it on by helping others to see the light of Christ and to encourage the needy to seek Him!
