3:35 Mark “Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother.“ (NIV)
Jesus in healing people with a crowd outside the house where He is staying. When told that His mother and brothers were outside to see Him, Jesus responded with this verse. He is not distancing Himself from them but rather He is being more inclusive to the rest of us. If we trust in God and believe that Jesus died for our sins, then we are part of the family of God. What an amazing gift that is for us. We have close family all over the world!

3:25 Mark “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.“ (NIV)
Jesus talked about kingdoms and countries… now He talks to us about home and families. He stresses that we must have a unity in our spirit. He wants us to have peace and harmony in our homes. With such love and lots of prayer, those families can withstand any trials or problems which may come their way. Today, make it a point to say “I love you!” to each of your family members (and extended family, too). Let His love work through you to bring unity of spirit to all whom you love.

Leprosy was (and is) a terrible disease. In Jesus day, those with leprosy were not allowed near other people. They were outcasts. They were isolated. They had no hope… until Jesus came. Jesus touched them. He healed them. He restored them to society. He can do the same for us today. Ask Him for His tender touch in your life.
