Will you stand with Jesus?

14:50 Mark. “Then everyone deserted him and fled." (NIV)

Jesus awakens the disciples a third time. This time He alerts them that His accusers are coming to take Him. Judas leads the pack. He betrays Jesus. The soldiers are armed and take Jesus. None of the disciples stay around…they fled. They desert Jesus and leave Him alone with those who would later have Him killed. Do you ever desert Jesus? Do you flee rather than defend His name and the power of the Gospel? Stand firm in your faith. He stands with you ALWAYS!

Submit fully to God’s will for you!

14:36 Mark. “Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." (NIV)

Jesus is spending His time in prayer. He knows what needs to happen. He seeks God’s will. He will follow what God has planned… even though it will be painful, and it will lead to His own death. Do you spend time in prayer…seeking God’s will for your own life? Know that He has a plan for you. His love will see you through this life and into eternal life. Follow Him. Trust His plan for you!

Be in communion with Jesus…

14:24 Mark. “"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them.“ (NIV)

Jesus pauses to give thanks before He passes on the cup of wine to His disciples. In all things, He gave thanks to God. We should follow that example. Each time we take communion we should give thanks to God for such a great gift… the gift of salvation. With it came the gift of forgiveness… full and complete forgiveness. Jesus gave His all for us… can we give any less to Him in return. Be fully committed to Him each day… always AND in ALL ways!

Ready or Not?

13:36 Mark “If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.“ (NIV)

Are your ready? No, really…are you ready? There will be no second chance. There will be no replay. It will be final. That is why Jesus spent extra time to warn the disciples…and it still applies to us. Start each day in His Word. Share it often. Thank Him continually. Be a blessing to others through your service to them. AND… be ready.
